People love making freeware games. We love telling you about them. Acid-Play was founded in 2002 by Greg Priday. Originally based in South Africa we have spread our presence around the world, with past and present reviewers from Australia, USA and Canada.

We have continually evolved. 2008 saw another reinvention of Acid-Play with a refreshed design and complete rehaul of the systems behind our site. Our idea was to bring you, our community, even closer into the review process. We feature community reviews more prominently and allow you to log in, so you can take full credit for your reviews.

Thanks to our dedicated reviewers and energetic community Acid-Play is the most popular freeware games site on the Internet (according to Alexa). We have over 1000 freeware games, most of which have files hosted on our own servers, and send out over 3800 GB of games every month. Free for anyone who wants to download them.
