Liero Ai

This has to be my all-time favourite free game.

Sure, there are free (even open source) games with better graphics, long levels, (easy) online multiplayer, and awesome videos, but nothing I have found has been as much pure fun as Liero-AI against a mate.

Single player isn't half bad either, with AI that will actually kill you without much effort, and you even get to set the weapons for one of them.

However, the majority of the fun lies in a head-to-head battle of two mates. I have wasted countless hours playing Liero AI against a group of friends - hours, for once, that do not seem a waste, unlike with most other games.

There only one thing that comes to mind when I think of cons: Online games are very limited, as there is no game list, requiring you to know the IP of the server.

Liero AI is one of the better Liero clones out there. It has used the sure-fire recipe of what made the original game famous and has attempted to make it even better by adding hordes of bizarre and over-powered weapons to take worm mutilation to another level.

There are many new ways of killing off your slimy opponents, for instance electrocuting them in water or crushing them with a 15-ton weight.

Like many other clones out there, multiplayer options have been introduced and the ability for up to four players to join a game via TCP/IP makes this one of the most accomplished clones yet.

AI was terrible and the weapons were OK but arnen't anything special.

Does not compare to Liero 1.33 (the best) or Liero E (the best AI and more than 2 player games/internet games).

The worst of the first 3 Lieros.

The weapons are...interesting at best and the AI isn't very good.

Sadly, I found this very boring. I'm sticking to LieroX and it's multiplayer!
