There are three main ways to blow stuff up, and pressing X changes these: You can fire wherever you like, with your extra ships around you in formation. You can have them trail behind you, following where you've been. Or, combine all your accessory ships into one directional laser beam.
Throughout the very cutesy world, between dodging tanks (even they look cute) and things which look like nuts... you will notice cake. Blowing up this delicious treat reveals a bonus. Collecting that, when it is on a specific letter, will give you a specific upgrade - as such you can customize your ship to your own will.
For what it will take to download, this is an incredible gift. Its small, lightweight, looks amazing, plays excellently and (apart from the sound) it never gets old. Certainly one to return to many times.
