When first opening this free download, you may be a bit confused. You’re staring at a blank screen with a tiny pencil for your cursor. If you’re like me and you skipped straight through the instructions (which I wouldn’t recommend), your first instinct will be to draw.

But the “Play” button intrigued me. I knew Line Rider was considered a flash game, so I knew that some sort of animation was involved. I drew a simple line, clicked “Play” and nearly died laughing. A tiny stick-figure wearing a red scarf and sitting atop a sleigh was dropped onto the line. He flew across the line until reaching the end, then he plummeted to a never-ending void of white space.

Sounds too simple, I know, and perhaps a little silly. But this game is completely addicting. I continued, erasing my previous lines and drawing more complex ones with dips and hills and circles. The man on the sleigh, the “Line Rider” lived through some, crashed during others. You can save any lines that you create that really tickle you and upload them again at a later time. If you have time to kill, or just like seeing stick people crash, I highly recommend this game. There’s not much to it, but it’s surprisingly more entertaining than a lot of free-to-play downloads out there.
