I think that this game is a lot of fun. you go around and destroy a city like godzilla, or the other three monsters they give you. the four monsters are a googleon, which is like godzilla, techs, which is a concious satellite, vapour, which is a poisonous cloud, and flutter, which is like a bat. the controls are confusing at first, but, but once learned, they are pretty easy. you hit the number buttons to select your monster(6,7,8, or 9) and other number buttons to select your view. (1 for 1st person, 2 for third person and 3 for military view) you use the mouse to move, click to shoot, and your health regenerates over time. the game comes with a help folder and gives you the stats of each monster. try it, it is a lot of fun.
Battalion is a simple 3D game which was designed first in 1994 for the GL Indizone contest. Later converted to GL it won the best indy software award.
The game play is somewhat straightforward. You have a choice of 4 different monsters to play as - Googelon (Godzilla style monster with a lazer shooter), Techs (Robot style monster that shoots bullets), The Vapour (You are a cloud of poisenous gas) or Flutter (A flying monster, most effective) and your job is to move around the landscape and destroy as much as you can without getting killed by the army tanks and helicopters which are chasing you!
This game sucks, it's just boring. Bad graphics, worse gameplay and too hard. That sums it up for me.
The graphics are OK I guess.... but the idea is awesome! I've always wanted to destroy a town!
